Crazy email I sent lynda.com

I need a bit.ly url.  for each type of course.  your service is far more social oriented.  In fact it would be nice to click and fbshare or click and tweet.  See what I do not get is why businesses don't do everything they can to get the rebuzz retweet and fbshare.  Who the hell cares about some silly website that is displaying affiliate ads which rarely work anyways.  Not to mention that you have to know enough code to dissect things.  there should be 3 buttons next to every video.. boom bam thank you man, any of your friends buy.. and maybe tweet or fb a coupon that counts down.. 2 subs at this price for 5 minutes.. 5 subs at this.. make a game out of it.  yes I am telling you how to run your company..lol.. forgive my arrogance.. you have a good service and I think you might want to consider bringing social marketing.  There are a few sites if you link them right can maximize your media potential.  Just knowing which sites to use and how.. there are some really easy tricks to doing things online.. anyways it has been fun.. say hi to wilma and the kids.. I blog all my comments.. so I have to try to be interesting.. take everything with a grain of salt.. they call me igebadia online.. and I am a brand..

Seavus DropMind

Below is an email I received from a company that has what looks like really good mind mapping software.  As for those who follow me online you will know that often email intrusions rub me the wrong way.  It is my view that an email is always going to be a disappointment when it is not from a friend or a business where you have asked to be contacted by.

Phone spam as I call it is even a bigger no-no cause then you are likely interrupting one of my random youtube videos.  This is why I never actually answer the phone.  So when I got this email from this company http://dropmind.com/ after trying unsuccessfully to use their software online I decided to blog about it and talk about what they should consider doing.

1.  The software did not work cause it required me to install silverlight.. or some microsoft product.  When the installation did not work and if I remember correctly it was cause my mac is 10.4.11 I gave up.

2.  I could of downloaded a version but when something does not work once easily I rarely give it another try.

3.  The user sign in process does not use data portability which to me is really an insult.  When you ask for my data and don't make it easy for me to give it to you, then do you really want my data.

4.  I gave you my data and you called and then emailed me without me asking to be contacted...

What they should do?

go social.  I am a reasonable guy and if you make a good argument for a tool, when I have need, not when you want the sale I may purchase it.  A fanpage allows me to do that.. I know you will say twitter.. but I never check my twitter feed..

They call me igebadia..

Oh no it is the crazy man igebadia...

Why do we have a senate?  Get rid of them.  Govt needs to evolve.. like your social marketing needs to evolve.  Do you have plans for how to interact positively with the crazy people online.  Your job creates emotion.  The problem is you need the crazy people to make your videos more popular.  63 views isn't worth squat.  from a get me elected budget social is free and can be a fund raising element for your party.  Partner program exists on a lot of sites and why shouldn't you tease them with ads.  you pay less for party fees and for dinner fundraisers.. instead of just talking to rich folk you can talk to poor folk...

but you need a plan.  What works is you have to put away the ego.  Never talk about the other parties..any advertising is good advertising.  You all make that mistake.. sell your vision.. take off the tie and be human.. Harper was Brutal on youtube and the production value was horrid.  I am telling you from one crazy man to another.. cause lets be honest you have to be crazy to want to join govt cause you could not speak honestly if you wanted to..

Just explain how you plan to solve the problem.  Be humble enough to say we hope it works.. the thing people don't get is people cannot predict the weather let alone the world so keeping promises is an impossible thing..youtube allows you to really connect.  The great thing is you get this guy going off the edge.. and all you do is by being calm focusing how how why you believe your way will work..

I would also run a satire blog where you make fun of yourselves after each session where you all stand around and talk through a man in a very big chair.. you really should have a live show where you have a guy like me making fun of all of you..

they call me igebadia.. and I am more crazy than a politician.. not by much though..

Information request from nanosolar

Forgive me for being blunt but you really need to develop a social marketing strategy.  You are making the same mistake the bloom box is.  People have been told over and over again none of this green energy will ever replace gas.  Technology is not the problem, people are and social sites allow you to teach the physics of what you do in simple slow steps... and I would beg you not to use an engineer or physicist to do this.  The problem with smart folk is they assume things most not so smart people don't.

Not to mention it is free to set up a social cobweb.. takes little work to maintain and would allow your fans to market for you...

we need to talk about your website and how you are wasting my money..

Go social... I mean seriously you go and waste money on a TV ad and you don't even have a social cobweb.  People will go to your site one and then forget about it.  Subs, fans, follows your vanity URLs are digital gold.  If you had actually taken the time to understand the internet you would know that we prefer social sites to government sites.  All you need is to get people to fan and follow and then just ad different 2 for 1 deals or different types of events, contests, kids stuff through social networks which also tend to have shared geo characteristics which means you can make it easy by saying hey if you want to bring 2 more friends just just this and they can print off their own.. there is so much more you can do on social sites to reach people and it would also allow you to tie in other city of edmonton services and events...

So please stop wasting my money on silly ads and get with the modern times...

Fun, fun, fun till daddy took the royalties away...

First off let me start off by saying I am not a big fan of politicians in general.  It is hard not to be skeptical because we both know that my age demo won't win you any elections.  That said Eddy boy just does not seem very fun.  Now I don't know if your talking head will be more exciting... but I figured what the heck I will drop you a line and see what type of response I get.  Here are the questions I have:

1.  Social sites:  Have you talked about updating your web presence cause going social is where it is at.  Your website really is depressing and why would you not have a fanpage, a youtube channel, a twitter channel and a blog?  Posterous.com is a fantastic tool where you could actually give each of your peeps.. whatever they call you folk a way to promote themselves and the liberal party without a lot of work since social is free.. If you are serious about the next election and it is a good time to be serious cause wild rose.. seriously who names anything wild rose.. we sound like shampoo.. Hi we are the shampoo party of alberta.. but you get my point because if you can get them to split the votes.. Liberals in the house..

2.  Pollution:  I am not silly in that I understand that we have to play nice with big oil but we got 2 headed asexual fish that are filled with mercury.. what the heck is a asexual fish.. I don't even get that...we have towns which the pollution has been proven to cause cancer... the reason why this never changes is because of the mantra we cannot make money without polluting.. each time I hear someone say that I look at the picture of my niece and say sorry.. we are selling out your future for money today.  If you are elected and "the bloom box" is something that actually works are you ready to get rid of all alberta power plants, solve the greenhouse gas problems and invest in the the bloom or will you bow down to the billions of dollars in power?  Because you all love to say you care about the environment but when it comes time to action you continue to sell our kids future for profit now.

3.  Healthcare:  It always gets me republicans which are like conservatives.  They are for war, healthcare for the rich and Jesus.  Seems to me that Jesus would be against war and would want healthcare for all.  See I think a country has to provide 2 things if it actually believes all people are equal.  Healthcare because that is about life and education because that is about potential and when it comes to cuts.. we always cut the two most important things.

That is it for now but I will have more questions later.. by the way what are the chances of having a native leader to the party.. I keep telling my american friends that we believe all people are equal.. they are like prove it.. we have a black president, have you ever had a native leader at any level of government....

What are your vanities?

Forgive me.. let me elaborate.  Youtube has a partner program.  Which would give Bret a very easy way to just share his thoughts with people.  His channel would easily get a ton of fans.  This would allow you to get revenue sharing on youtube.  Then you set up a blog with posterous.com and have it autopost to a blogger site that is adsense enabled.. you could pick any platform I suppose.  Link in his shirts.  You could also have amazon ads that link to his products.  A facebook fanpage which has the most viral potential.  If you can swing it you could feed in behind the scenes cameras through ustream... that would be a cool way to link to facebook like a lot of music artists do.  Plus it is the most social way to just talk to people.  See TV is real time and what you want to do is take those google searches and make sure they turn into fans, follows, subs.. it is how you have to brand online..

What are your vanities?

Hey what are Bret's vanities?  His fanpage, twitter, youtube channel?  A website is nice and all but a person only goes to a site once or twice... the rest of the time they are in facebook, youtube or twitter.  appmakr would be a really cheap way for him to get a mobile app.  You likely could get it made free just for mentioning it in a youtube video.  go social.. bret is interesting... go social.. he could make money with a social feed.. a lot more money...

Question

It would do more if these protesters would tweet, do videos and fbshare on their profile to spread the message... seriously nobody gives a dam about 20 people protesting... you have to make it way more public....

takepart.com doesn't really want your help...

I am just one person and it is hard to believe I can make a difference, but watching a video called darfur now http://bit.ly/cYiCIK which is the story of how one man can make a difference.  Seeing this video made me want to help but how?  I searched online and ended up at http://takepart.com a site that talks a big game about helping the world.  Now I am not one to simply sign up for something.  I want to see how motivated those who run the website area so I sent them a short little email asking a simple question.  How can I get involved and use my youtube videos for good.  It has been a week and so far nothing.  This bothers me cause the way to create a movement is to embrace those who say I want to help.  By not bothering to answer contact us email the creator of takepart.com now is saying we don't need your help.. the world is being saved by us go worry about penis cancer or something.  hey there is a game on TV...

See this is the WRONG way to run a business, the wrong way to run a cause.. the wrong way period... you have to be able to capitalize on interest because the world is full of good causes.  I wanted to help, I wanted to add my voice to the cause.. but to do that I wanted an email saying hey you can do this...

People if you want us to care you have to help us take the second step.  We all feel bad about things in this world, we have a very human need to help others out.. but we have been programmed to feel like we cannot make a difference alone.  As a website selling take part in helping end the injustices of the world you have to embrace that feeling ASAP.. not in a day, not in a week but right now... because it is so easy to simply get frustrated and give up thinking there is nothing I can do..

This igebadia.. please fan me on youtube at http://youtube.com/gebacards
